For 20 years, Lillian Ser has practiced in the areas of general corporate, business and real estate law. Her unique cross-functional background and skill set can be applied across multiple industries. Lillian works proactively and collaboratively to address legal risks and meet the business needs of her clients. Her M.B.A. and years of business experience prior to practicing law provides her with a pragmatic and business sense approach in assisting clients with their legal matters and issues. She understands the needs of business and the importance of the bottom line. Her philosophy is one of personalized service and a hands-on approach in order to achieve the best results.
In 2009, Lillian founded a small boutique law firm, Ser & Associates, and now represents individuals and small to medium size businesses providing them outside general counsel services and specific assistance in corporate, business, and real estate matters. Her clients primarily include restaurant owners, developers, healthcare-oriented businesses, service businesses, manufacturers and distributors. Although the firm generally established small and mid-size businesses, her favorite clients are “mom & pops” and start-ups.
Prior to starting her own firm, Lillian held the position of General Counsel for a real estate developer where she directed and managed all legal matters in connection with the development of a $600Million mixed-use commercial project including, but not limited to, corporate structuring, drafting and negotiating corporate contracts, obtaining required local, state and federal land use and environmental permits for the project; negotiating hotel management agreements; retail and restaurant leasing.
Prior to going in-house, Lillian practiced with the firms of Greenberg Traurig and Shutts & Bowen as a real estate and land use attorney where she provided legal counsel to and obtained local, state and federal approvals for developers and private property owners in connection with the construction of large-scale real estate development projects including residential, office/commercial, mixed-use and marina developments.
Ms. Ser is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, is fluent in Spanish and is a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Mediator.
